DashGreen (Pty) Ltd ("DashGreen", "we", "our", "us") operates the DashGreen mobile application and website ("the Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and process your personal information when you use our services.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with POPIA. By actively accepting this Privacy Policy during registration, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described herein.

Location Data:

We collect location data only while the app is actively in use to connect customers with nearby drivers and partner clubs, track active deliveries in real time, and improve delivery accuracy. We do not collect background location data when the app is closed.

Payment Information:

Payments are processed by secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processors. DashGreen does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or banking credentials.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal information only for the following lawful purposes:

To create and manage your account
To process orders and facilitate deliveries
To verify your age and eligibility
To connect you with drivers and partner clubs

To communicate with you regarding orders, support, and security
To improve Platform performance and user experience

5. Data Sharing

We share limited personal information only where necessary:

Drivers — name and delivery address to complete your order
Partner clubs — order details to fulfil your request

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

6. Data Retention

Order and transaction records — retained for 5 years for legal and tax compliance
Account information — retained for the duration of your account, plus 12 months after closure
Location data — retained for 90 days then anonymised or deleted
Device and usage data — retained for 12 months

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls limiting staff access to personal data, regular security assessments and monitoring, and secure deletion procedures.

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.

As a data subject under POPIA, you have the following rights:

Right of access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Right to deletion — request deletion of your personal information
Right to object — object to the processing of your personal information
Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing at any time

10. Children's Privacy

⚠ The Platform is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us at privacy@dashgreen.co.za immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via the Platform or email. Continued use of the Platform after notification of changes constitutes acceptance.
